RECEPTIONS

For a wedding breakfast like no other, invite up to 160 guests to feast under dazzling chandeliers in The Ballroom (This spectacular space can be configured in various ways for different size groups).  Adding additional guests in the evening is also an option!

For more intimate dinners, our Morning Room can accommodate up to 40 and The Jefferson Room 14. We can also cater for the night before the wedding – or the morning after – whether you are looking for a formal sit-down affair, BBQ in the grounds or continental breakfast.

As you have exclusive use, you can bring your own live acts and/or DJ (Or we can suggest some of our own favourites). Thicket Priory is also fully fitted with a sound system in The Morning Room and The Ballroom, as well as speakers which can be connected to your personal device in internal spaces such as The Chapel.

Whether you choose from the extensive range of individual dishes or menus, or request something bespoke, our fabulous choice of recommended caterers will accommodate your every need. From formal wedding breakfasts to more contemporary sharing food, you are in very safe hands. Whichever of our renowned local caterers you choose, Purple Chilli Events Catering, The Hog & Apple Food Co., Nomad Catering By James Brown or Homegrown Hospitality you can be assured they use the finest locally sourced produce to create experiences you won’t forget!

We also offer a range of drinks collections and as part of our eco-friendly credentials, we are even blessed with our very own spring. So you and your party can enjoy this crystal-clear water that has been slowly filtered for over 1000 years through ancient York stone.
