Make Yourself at Home at Thicket Priory

A lot of people wonder what makes us different to other wedding venues and hotels, or what makes us ‘us’, so we thought we’d give you a little more insight into Thicket Priory…

Exclusive Use Countryside Venue

With 35 luxury en-suite bedrooms, a grand Ballroom that can seat up to 160 guests, and 18 acres of grounds to explore, Thicket Priory becomes your home away from home for the duration of your wedding. There are so many hidden stairs and doors that you and your guests can discover while staying here, with lots of original features keeping the history alive. We encourage you to explore and have fun, after all, there aren’t many doors you can’t go through!

The Keys & Checking In

We want to make the arrival and checking in experience as fun and unique as possible, which is why when you enter Thicket Priory you will find your key and begin your exploration of the building by searching for your room – don’t worry we do provide some instructions to help you along the way!

As part of the night prior celebrations, we have the Thicket Quest, a perfect icebreaker activity for both adults and little ones – it encourages you to see every part of the building and discover all the hidden nooks and crannies…

The Pantries

To add to the feeling of home, we have the pantries dotted around the building, perfect for you to pop to for a cuppa and a biscuit whenever you want…

The Ironing Room

There’s often a long line of people outside of here waiting to last minute iron their outfits on the wedding morning! It’s filled with all the things you can need for any clothes emergencies, and if you’ve forgotten a tie we have many for you to choose from…

The Old Kitchen & Parlour

The perfect setting for a relaxed, intimate night prior meal and the beginning of your celebrations, whether it be a comfort food buffet in the Winter or a BBQ in the Summer, you will be able to enjoy a relaxed dinner with your nearest and dearest before your big day…

The Gardens

We have 18 acres of private grounds, and a lake, and everywhere filled with wildlife, whether you want to explore or find a quiet spot to read your book before the festivities start…
