A Guide to Wedding Vendors

Planning your wedding can be extremely stressful, especially when wondering where to start with suppliers… our Friends of Thicket Priory list is the perfect place to begin your search after booking with us, from the initial preparations to your evening entertainment and everything in between, we have worked with some of Yorkshire’s very best suppliers, and we recommend them for their individuality and expertise. However, you are of course welcome to bring anyone you wish, we do recommend a pre-wedding site visit, especially for photographers, videographers and florists.

The two biggest parts of your wedding after securing your venue is the ceremony and the catering..

If you are wanting to get legally married at Thicket Priory, you will first need to contact the local registration office, Selby Registrars.
If you are choosing to also have a celebrant-led ceremony in addition to this, such as when marrying in the chapel, you’ll then also need to choose a celebrant. We do recommend contacting a few to see who you click with the most, and who you feel like will create the perfect bespoke ceremony for you.

On the food side of things, we have four local caterers for you to choose from:
Purple Chilli Events Catering
Hog & Apple Food Co.
Homegrown Catering
Nomad Catering
All of them have been chosen to work with us to ensure the quality and service is the same as what we provide, after all the food is one of the biggest parts of your wedding!

Hopefully this has given you some guidance on where to start with choosing and booking vendors for your wedding, and if you are yet to secure your venue, and are interested in having your own fairytale day here at Thicket Priory, please do get in touch!

With love,
