Housing all your friends and family under one roof…

Here at Thicket Priory one of our best features is the 35 luxury bedrooms, enabling you to accommodate up to 73 of your nearest and dearest…plus a few little ones for good measure. The compliments we receive about how well guests have slept on our extremely comfortable mattresses will never get old! Many of the guests don’t want to leave when it comes to check-out! It truly is a home-from-home!

The bedrooms are beautiful and all of our guests said they had such a comfortable stay. The crisp/neutral design of all the event spaces means you can put your own mark on the space, and it really does feel like it’s yours for the time you are there.
If you want a place that feels romantic, grand but cosy, has traditional touches but with a modern twist, Thicket is your venue.” – Lily & Matt 12.04.25

The arrival at Thicket Priory is made extra special because of the bedroom keys, each with their own individual names and directions to find your room. This is a great way for guests to settle in and make themselves at home, often bumping into other guests and making introductions before the celebrations even begin. The labyrinth of corridors, stairs and separate rings in the house make it the perfect place to explore!

We recently had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Thicket Priory, and we truly couldn’t have dreamed of a more exceptional venue. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every inch of the estate has been designed with care, thoughtfulness, and elegance. The setting is nothing short of magical—steeped in charm, surrounded by tranquil grounds, and filled with beautiful, characterful spaces that feel both grand and intimate.” – Bethany & Alex 01.03.25

When you find your room, all of which are uniquely decorated and some themed according to the name of the room. Such as the Silver Safe room which used to be the old butler’s room and now has the bathroom contained within the original house safe. You will find a frame in each bedroom, with a short story about why the room is called what it is. Where is be part of the long Thicket Priory family history, or the history of the nuns who lived here when it was a monastery.

Each of the bedrooms felt luxurious – like they belong in a boutique hotel! Each has its own personality and quirks, which made assigning them to our guests a fun task.” – Issy & Miles 30.11.24

Thicket priory is a venue like no other- it is simply stunning, all the rooms and spaces are just so beautiful and so well thought out. The ability to have the venue for the full 2 nights enabled us to have a full weekend of fun and really prolong our celebrations. The small details are so well thought out and everywhere. We had so many comments from guests about how stunning the venue was and all the little touches weren’t missed even on the guests. It is such an incredible space and really did feel like our home.” – Liv & Ed 31.12.24

We had guests travelling from all over the country and abroad and all commented on how beautiful Thicket was – many saying they’d never seen a better wedding venue (which we obviously agree with!). A large part of why we were initially drawn to Thicket was the idea of being able to host a wedding weekend, with 70 guests staying for both the Friday and Saturday night. Our guests were all very impressed with the quality & size of their rooms, and all are finished to an amazing standard.” – Rachel & Dan 27.07.24
